FuturePerfect Productions

Founded by Wayne Ashley, the former Director of Arts in Multimedia at Brooklyn Academy of Music (BAM), FuturePerfect is a new performance, art and technology initiative.

It was established to both draw attention to and mobilize the unrealized innovative, artistic, and economic potential of joining two important sectors in New York City: the long established culture industry and the city’s still emerging technology sector. Produced in partnership with leading national and international institutions, FuturePerfect highlights new hybrid performance practices and artistic ideas that continue to emerge as computers and other non-human systems become increasingly integral to contemporary culture.

Not only did we overhaul the initial design, we helped Wayne rethink his company. It’s not easy defining something that is breaking new ground. So we ran usability tests, conducted audience surveys, and assembled a strategic document to help focus FuturePerfect’s mission and vision.

Jewish Funds for Justice

In addition to developing a new Content Management System and porting all their old content to the new system, we were tasked with developing a completely new identity for JFSJ. After launch, we have provided ongoing support for their online campaigns using Convio and Drupal.

One of their most famous campaigns to date helped get Glenn Beck off the air.

As part of our engagement, we have developed a custom Drupal Module, which will soon be released to the Drupal.org community. The module is part of a sophisticated online application system to facilitate Service Learning.

Allison Fine

We ported Allison Fine’s site over from wordpress.com to her own domain, with a completely revamped look. During the process, we created an archive of her podcasts, setup a media gallery, and worked to highlight her multiple books.

Raising Money on Facebook

So the good folks at Nonprofit Webinars put together this great webinar on just that – how to use facebook to help your organization raise money. This particular webinar and series of slides was put together by the very fantastic Jeff Patrick, President & Founder of Common Knowledge.

We’d love to hear from you – how do you plan to use facebook to help you raise money?

DanceBrazil

Jelon Vieira, the artistic director of DanceBarzil, is arguably one of the most influential figures in the world of Capoeira.

When we started working with DanceBrazil, they had virtually no web presence. So we developed their website, setup a facebook page, created a flickr account, and launched a vimeo page. At the end of their inaugural season with us, we also produced a live webcast (in English and Portuguese), streaming their performance across the globe.

Our efforts paid off very well – for every $1 they spent on us, we managed to bring $8 back for a total 1:8 ROI. And most interestingly, viewers from Brazil could finally take in their artistry.

ISSUE Project Room

This was an awesome project all around. We built ISSUE Project Room an entirely new WordPress. During the process, we archived all their content, and put into place a dynamic calendar system, helping them boost online ticket sales and increasing their web traffic by a whole bunch.
